Our snow report is issued each morning at 06:30 and updated throughout the day during the season.
Scheduled winter opening hours: Home Basin 08:30 – 16:00, Saddle Basin 09:00 – 15:30.
We have had a warm night with some heavy rain. The forecast is for continuing showers, however we are expecting the freezing level to lower throughout the day and we'll hopefully see some snow to around 800m this evening. A saturated snow pack makes for very tricky skiing conditions right across the mountain and our concerns are around both safety and the quality of skiing. Typically giving a saturated snow pack some time to dry out makes a world of difference
The Metservice is calling for strong northerlies to ease and showers throughout the day, turning to snow as the freezing level lowers. Hopefully the snow, letting it dry out and a freeze with some snow will see a vast improvement in conditions.
We have a FREE mountain shuttle operating from the bottom of the access road - a face covering must be worn on the bus.
We have a priority carpark for carpooling, fill your seats to get a good space!
We recommend that campervans take the free shuttle.
Chains must be carried by all vehicles. Mountain car parks close at 5pm. Cars remaining may incur Search & Rescue costs. Contact Ski Patrol if you will be late / not returning to your vehicle.
